Penn State now offers over 50 online degrees and certificate programs

If you are looking for an online college with a stellar reputation, you might want to consider one of

’s 50 online degree programs. While many of the online programs available today come from relatively unknown colleges, when you tell someone you are attending Penn State, they will not give you that blank stare and say, “Where?”. Unlike certain universities that are synonymous with online education, Penn State has been around since 1892 and employers will not immediately assume that you participated in online classes. Several years ago, I applied to Penn State’s online program and I have nothing but good to say about them. All of the administrative staff were extremely helpful and they went out of their way to make sure I had all the information I needed to apply. If you are interested in obtaining life experience credit, Penn State has several methods for doing so (see below). As far as tuition, there are colleges and universities out there that have lower tuition, but Penn State has a great program, and attending this university will most likely be a worthwhile investment in your future.   • Credit validation (foreign courses, or courses at some non-accredited schools)

Payment options Students attending Penn State’s World Campus are typically eligible for student financial aid if they are taking more than 6 credit hours in pursuit of an online degree. In addition, Penn State allows students to participate in payment plans to help students pay for tuition. If your employer will be reimbursing you for tuition, Penn State also accepts payment from third-parties. Transfer credit The Penn State admissions department determines what courses will transfer into your degree program, however, keep in mind that all transfer credits must be earned from a regionally accredited institution (North Central Association, Middle States, Association, Northwest Association, etc.) Student Services Penn State offers a wealth of student services including assistance with financial aid and scholarships, admissions counseling, academic advising, technical support, career services, and library resources to name a few!
